About The Show
Psychiatrist Martin Dysart (SIMON CALLOW) is brought the most challenging case of his career by magistrate Hesther Saloman (LINDA THORSON). Alan Strang (ALFIE ALLEN) seems like a normal seventeen year old. His life appears routine and his family loving. However, Alan’s passion for horses and an encounter with stablehand Jill (LAURA O’TOOLE) has led him to behave in the most devastating way. Only Dysart seems able to grasp the answer to this psychological puzzle.
This production is again directed by Thea Sharrock with design by John Napier, whose past work has included Cats, Les Misérables and Miss Saigon. Movement is by Fin Walker, lighting by David Hersey and sound by Gregory Clarke, and Theatre Royal Bath Productions.
EQUUS is produced by the Tony and Olivier award winning David Pugh and Dafydd Rogers, whose past hits have included ART, The Play What I Wrote and Rebecca.
